With a little over a week left until Christmas, I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling the pressure to get products to customers so they can wrap them and put them under the tree.
Yesterday we had our last market of the year. Today I finished my last custom order. I’m sure you can imagine the feeling of the stress leaving my body as I made all of my promises for Christmas. There is still a lot of work to do, but the long hours and early mornings were worth the effort to fulfill the promises made.
I’m sure that you are feeling the pressure too. Remember that you are only one person and what gets done is what gets done. It doesn’t help to make yourself sick trying to do too much. Look to friends and family to get assistance with any of the tasks that you can delegate. You might even be able to make a party out of it! Just remember to get most of the work done before the wine kicks in.
I know that I am looking forward to January. I have a lot of topics to cover and explore for The Vendor Life and pictures on my camera that I haven’t even had time to download yet to share.
My immediate goal, however, is to get all the last-minute work done so that next weekend I can finally shop for Christmas and get the wrapping completed before the 25th.
Hang in there. You are close to the end of the season.
See you at market!
